X games in hand
X試合未消化で
✍️リーグ戦においては、天候不良や国際大会との兼ね合い、その他の様々な理由で試合の開催が予定通りに進まないことが多々あります。
そのような状況で、試合の消化数が同じでないチームを比較する際には X game(s) in hand という表現が使用できます。
※ P = Played（消化試合数）、GD = Goal Difference（得失点）、Pts = Points（勝ち点）を意味します。
上の順位表では、リヴァプールとチェルシーがシティに対して、a game in hand、アーセナルは three games in hand という状態ですね。
もちろん、何試合未消化であるかは比較対象によって変わるので、アーセナルはリヴァプールとチェルシーに対して two games in hand であると言うこともできます。
